Receipt Vault is designed as a local purchase-protection vault. The app helps you save receipts, product proof, warranty details, return windows, serial numbers, and related reminders.
Information you add to the app
You may choose to save purchase names, stores, purchase dates, prices, currencies, categories, notes, serial numbers, warranty dates, return reminders, product photos, receipt images, PDFs, screenshots, order confirmations, and OCR text extracted from receipt images.
Local storage
Receipt Vault stores purchase records in an on-device SQLite database and stores imported receipt or proof files in the app's local document storage. We do not operate a Receipt Vault account system for syncing this vault data to our own servers.
Device permissions
The app may request camera access to scan receipts and proof documents, photo library access to import receipt photos or screenshots, document picker access to import PDFs or other files you select, and notification permission to send local return or warranty reminders.
Camera, photo, file, and notification permissions are controlled by your device settings. You can change or revoke them in iOS or Android settings.
OCR and receipt parsing
Receipt Vault uses on-device text recognition to extract text from receipt images. The app uses that text to help fill purchase details such as store, title, date, and amount. OCR can be inaccurate, so you should review saved details before relying on them.
Purchases and subscriptions
Receipt Vault may offer paid features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription status may be managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.
RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, entitlement status, product identifiers, renewal status, and similar subscription-management data. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Website and support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address, name, device details, screenshots, and support request content. We use support communications to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, and improve Receipt Vault.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide the receipt, purchase, warranty, and reminder features.
- Store and show your local purchase vault on your device.
- Recognize purchase details from receipt images you choose to scan.
- Manage subscription access and restore purchases.
- Respond to support requests and fix app issues.
Sharing
We do not sell your saved receipt or purchase vault data. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, including Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for purchases and subscriptions, or when required to comply with law, protect rights, prevent abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
Retention and deletion
Local purchase records and proof files remain on your device until you delete them in the app, reset app data, or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and protect our rights. Purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat follow those providers' retention policies.
Children
Receipt Vault is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your choices
You can delete saved purchases and documents in the app, revoke device permissions in system settings, unsubscribe from app-store subscriptions through Apple or Google, and contact us to request help with support data associated with your email address.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Receipt Vault changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
